With a lash lift you get the best of both worlds: You get the semi-permanent lift and curl of extensions while keeping your natural lashes damage-free. Three weeks in you’ll still be floored by the results and may never go back to getting extensions—or even using a lash curler—ever again. 

What is a lash lift?

A lash lift is like a perm for your lashes.

Like old-school perms from the '80s, lash lifts set the shape of your natural lashes using a chemical solution. There is no preparation necessary, but I do recommend not wearing any eye make-up to your appointment.

How is a lash lift performed?

·       Removal of any eye makeup

·       Covering of the lower lashes

·       Primer is applied to the top lashes to help cleanse

·       A silicone shield is applied to the eyelid

·       Eyelashes are bonded to the silicone shield to keep lashes smooth and in shape

·       Lifting solution is applied to the roots of the lashes for a period of time, then removed

·       Setting solution is then applied to the roots for a period of time, then removed

·       If eyelashes are being tinted the lower lashes are released and the tint applied for a period of time, then removed

·       Nourishing solution is then applied from root to tip of lashes

·       The silicone shield is then removed and eyes are then cleansed

How long will a lash lift last?

Lash lifts last six to eight weeks.

I usually recommend my clients come in at the eight-week mark just for a redo. What happens is all the hairs have now been shaped to be lifted and as they shed naturally, a straight one will grow in behind it. Some people need them sooner, some need them longer it just depends on the lash cycle.

Can I wear mascara with a lash lift?

Yes, you can wear mascara.

Because it's just your natural lashes being curled, you're free to use whatever eye makeup you wish. You just have to wait 24 hours. 

What aftercare is required?

The first 24 hours after a lash lift are crucial.

On top of not wearing mascara, you should avoid wetting them, steam, all forms of moisture or humidity and wearing eye makeup to make the curl last.

Why choose a lash lift over lash extensions?

Lash lifts are gloriously low maintenance. 

While lash extensions required you to be extra careful doing anything—washing my face, sleeping a certain way, applying makeup— You won’t have to think at all about your lashes after getting a lift. You can wake up, add mascara, and you’re good to go
